Adam was devoted to his Nana and she to him from the moment he was born. She would come down to Eastleigh for her holidays and weekends and disappear for the whole day with Adam in his pushchair. As they bolled along, Adam would announce,”This is my Nana,” to everyone they met. One day, they stopped off at a little cafe and, as he sat in his pushchair with Nana, a really jolly sort of chap came into the cafe and started having a laugh with the girls behind the counter. It was Charley this and Charley that and Oooh Charley from the girls. Adam watched and smiled. Later, as the chap left the cafe, waving to the girls, Adam laughed and shouted,”Cheerio Charley”. The girls very nearly wet themselves laughing!!-
