The Adam Dabell Annual Memorial Football Match – Thursday 8th October 2009

On the night of Thursday 8th October, East Grinstead Town FC paid host to the sixth annual ‘Adam Dabell Memorial Trophy’ match between Sackville and Imberhorne 6th forms.
An early Old boys kick saw a closely fought match in which Imberhorne were able to snatch a 1-0 result. Thanks to both Steve Hill & Simon Bunn for organising the teams at late notice.
This years, sixth form match was a very open and entertaining game. Another year on brought a fresh set of faces on the pitch and with good support from the local community, it wasnt long before the first goal was scored. A thrilling match from start to end – finished with Sackville winning 5-3 to reap revenge for last years defeat. Thanks to both Al Curry and Steve Hill for bringing together the two school teams.
Thank you again to all of those that were able to make the event again this year. Its a fantastic tribute to both Adam and his family. And finally, a thank you to John and his family for organising and ensuring everybody had a great night.
